Hi Steve:

First of all, can you define what you mean by your Signet Soloist
"reaching the end of its run"? The Signet Soloist is basically a good
intermediate instrument. Can it not be restored?

The E-11 is a good instrument also, but it is another intermediate,
and would not be a huge step up from your present instrument -- just a
"lateral" trade. if I were you, and were looking to have an improved
instrument, I would go for a used R-13. There are gobs of them out
there, often for reasonable prices ($1,200 -- $1,500 for one in good
condition, last I knew).

Best wishes.

Susan
