Do a compression check on the mouthpiece with the reed on (if the softer
ones work use them). Put your had over the bottom of the mouthpiece and
suck the air out of the mp until the reed closes off. Then see how long it
takes the reed to bounce of the facing of the mp. If it is quick you might
have a mp problem.
