Sarah,
I think that the easiest thing for you to do is find a VERY good
teacher who can show you how. It involves a little lip, a little
throat, a little fingering... In other words, it is impossible for
anyone to talk you through it via email. Where are you? I am positive
there are list members in your area who can help you out. I'm in
Raleigh, NC, and I've taught jazz for decades, so if you're near me,
we can get together.
