Not sure how to explain it. It's just something you have to get
accustomed to, trying it over and over and over again until you find
something that you like. You have to use your throat as well as
sliding the fingers off the keys. What I would probably do is
practice moving from one note to the other using only your throat
(don't know the technical term, sorry). Practice it between
different notes, then between different steps.

The gliss (as well as the rest of the opening lick) at the beginning
is yours to do as you please IMHO. No two clarinetists play it the
same.
