I have an Eb mouthpiece that works extremely well with my LeBlanc Noblet
Artist Eb clarinet. However, since I purchased it from an ex-coach who
purchased it in New York a long time ago (over 25 years for both mouthpiece and
horn), and doesn't have a clue to its origins. It is marked, beginning close to
the middle of the bottom edge of the mouthpiece: O 2b Erman . . . New York,
from left to right. It also has a lower case o adjacent to the right edge of
the reed lay. I use 4 or harder reeds with some workup. Does anyone out
there have any recollection of this mouthpiece maker? Or could anyone point me
to a mouthpiece that, (hopefully)knowing the mouthpiece, is comparable and
who makes it? I have a crystal mouthpiece that just does not work well (don't
ask about why I've got this one) and I want to have a good second mouthpiece.
Also, the mouthpiece is a softer material than my Blayman Bb mouthpieces
(H107s), and my inverted ligature has left indentations which don't hurt, but
do tend to keep the ligature from slipping.

Thanks in advance for your help.
