As a fellow musician, I wanted to share with you my recent experience with =
a popular sheet-music website called Music44.com.

After being asked by a presenter to perform a somewhat-lesser known piece, =
I placed an order with music44.com, 6 months in advance of the concert, thi=
nking this should be a sufficient enough time to receive the parts, and hav=
e some time to rehearse it without a rush. The website said there is a 4-6=
week lead time prior to the shipping. After about 3 months of waiting, I =
decided to write to the site to find out what was taking so long, and why I=
haven't heard from them. The answer was that they still have not received=
it from the publisher, and they will keep me posted. After another month,=
I wrote again, asking why I haven't heard anything and when will the order=
arrive. I was told that it will take yet another month or so! To make a l=
ong story (somewhat) short, I finally received my music 8 days before the c=
oncert.... without the piano part. Quite upset, I called the company, whic=
h gave no apology or explanation, but promised to ship the part
within 24 hours, and email me a confirmation. Five days later, I received=
the confirmation, and the part finally arrived... a week after the concert=
. =20

I just wanted to share this experience to give everyone a heads up on how t=
his company operates. I just hope this was an isolated incident, but to be=
honest, I'm not sure...
