Yes there are plenty of clarinet recordings. Where are you from? Try some
of the old recordings.

Here is a good website. wka-clarinet.org. As for players, there some good
player out there.

Here some names. Sabine Meyer, Stanley Drucker, Ricardo Morales, Peqetuo
Derivera, Eddie Daniels. Its endless.

It also depends what kind of music your son likes to listen to. Either jazz
or classical.
