Keep all the benefits of the Cork's elasticity? Are you sure; you make it
sound like a foregone conculsion.

I was/am not worried about the Teflon sticking. Don't know what you are
getting at or where you are going with that. [ In fact, my concern was the
opposite.]

No one has addressed cracking and the possibility of a manufacturer voiding
the warranty. Not that I know that all manufacturers would void a warranty
because the cork on the clarinet was maintained properly. I ask this
question, opnly as I have seen many "gotchas" in this world.

FWIW, I ... DO ... think that the teflon tape is an excellent short term
solution to a cork which falls off, etc..
