I don't know what they cost now-a-days.....but I have a Meyer M5 that I
love. Most of the performance I do on sax....is legit or show work. On my
Yamaha Alto, I use a fantastic C* for the legit work and some of the show
stuff...depending on what's needed. The Meyer is a great compromise. It
won't "peel paint"....but it plays with a lot of "character" and is easy for
most folks, moving from the C*, to adapt.
