Concerts in New York on February 18 and Boston on February 21

Clarinetist Michael Norsworthy will be featured in concerts titled The
New Soloist, presented by the Manhattan Sinfonietta, with Music Director
Jeffrey Milarsky, on Wednesday, February 18 at Merkin Concert Hall, 129
West 67th St. in Manhattan and on Saturday, February 21 at John Knowles
Paine Concert Hall on the campus of Harvard University in Cambridge,
Massachusetts. The Sinfonietta will also present programs on Tuesday,
February 17 at Merkin Hall and Friday, February 20 at Harvard. The two
programs at Paine Concert Hall are part of the Fromm Players series. All
four concerts begin at 8 PM.

For the February 18 and 21 programs, Mr. Norsworthy will perform Donald
Martino’s Triple Concerto for clarinet, bass and contrabass clarinets,
with fellow clarinetists Gilad Harel and Bohdan Hilash. Other repertoire
on the program includes music by Lei Liang, Ivan Fedele, Philippe Leroux
and Bob Hasegawa.

The February 17 and 20 concerts will feature works by Hitomi Kaneko,
Galina Ustvolskaya, David Gompper, Arthur Kampela, Marcos Balter and

the soloist as an individual and within the setting of a larger
ensemble. Complete program and soloist listings can be found at
