With respect Matthew, you absolutely can, that's the entire point.
It's the details of a case that leads the court to adjudicate whether
or not the law, or what parts of it, should be applied. The point
Jonathan is trying to make is that your, and others, *interpretation*
of the copyright law is that it would apply in cases <x, y, and z>,
but since you've not provided any examples, or even similar examples,
of real cases where the law was applied in this way, you can't state
that it's a copyright violation. We've seen the actual text printed
many times now - it's not specific enough at all for us to be able to
say as a matter of certainty that photocopying a page turn, for
example, is a copyright violation.
