Dear Clarinet List,

We are now accepting applications for the 2009 Claremont Clarinet
Festival, July 7-14 at Pomona College, Claremont, CA.

(Shameless Self-Promotion Department:)

This is an intimate workshop experience for advanced adult clarinetists
--young artists, college undergraduate and graduate students, advanced
amateur clarinetists, music teachers-- who spend a week studying and
performing in masterclasses, public concerts, lessons, coachings and
clarinet ensembles. *It is entirely participant focused.* My faculty
colleagues this year are Gary Gray, distinguished recording artist and
professor of clarinet at UCLA, and David Howard, bass clarinet of the
Los Angeles Philharmonic. They are both superb masterclass leaders. We
have two outstanding professional collaborative pianists (Twyla Meyer
and Tania Fleischer) who coach, prepare and accompany participants in
recital literature. We have a gifted Alexander teacher, Frances Marsden,
who can help you learn to free your body of stress while playing. AND,
we have---a lot of fun.

You can find information and an application at the website:

You can also contact me privately off-list with specific questions. I am
always happy to help.

My thanks to Wayne Thompson for his kind words about me in his post.
