Whatever your opinion on Teflon tape I would advise you to keep a roll in
your instrument case. A cork repair takes time and cannot be done during
performance.

Hi reedman, I'm sorry if it seemed like a personal attack. Several people
voiced the same opinion in favor of cork and my experience
with Teflon tape is limited to only a few days use. You may be correct. My
problem is that I'm always looking for the magic bullet, magic reed, magic
mouthpiece, etc. .
