WHOA .... relax, no one insinuating, I was asking. No, I won't use it the
tape - have plenty of cork available, But if you choose to do that is fine.
Discussion, I thought. Sorry.

Yes, I included a comment about "creating problems, where problems don't
exist, don't fix what ain't broke". But, that was not aimed at you, it was
aimed at any youngsters who are reading and might take that initiative (or
thought about it, anyway).

Well, somehow I didn't get the message below. So I will answer it now. I
use
teflon tape on all the joints on all of my instruments Don't create
problems
where they don't exist. Teflon tape ISN"T like ice. Things are snug and
secure
when spaces are filled with tape.

I worked for over twenty years as a certified Aquatics Facility operator and
used
teflon tape to seal pipes under pressure (those with 800 gallons of water
passing
through every minute. I never had a problem with the tape.

You don't have to use it if you don't want to, but don't insinuate that you
know it
won't work correctly, when many of us use all the time and have no issues
with it.
Change is so hard for some people, and very easy for the rest of us.
