What is "this specific case"? And why does it "seem the appropriate
thing to do"? Based on what?

As has been made abundantly clear here. It is NOT a copyright
violation to make "fair use" of copyrighted works. "Fair use" quite
definitely includes making personal "page turn" copies, or even
complete personal copies for study when you already own a copy of the
piece.

There has never been a single case (as you can see none of the vocal
proponents of copyright tyranny on this list have produced a single
relevant case) of adjudicated copyright violation of this type.

It is utter nonsense.

Furthermore, changing articulation marks, octaves and even
instruments is NOT "arranging". It's called playing music.

Show me a case.
