Thank you for your responses so far. I cannot apologise enough for the
current fishing expedition, and for not telling you beforehand what I have
seen, played or heard, as that would distort the statistics. I have to admit
that I had not heard of Kilford Neely, but have now found his two sonatas at
Maryland, possibly in manuscript (?). Secondly I know the music of Alvin
Etler, oboist, student of Hindemith and academic, from his Clarinet Sonata
#1 (1952), Quintet for Winds #1 (1955), - and Clarinet Concerto (1962)
written for David Glazer, premiered by Arthur Bloom and recorded by David
Shifrin.
