I have both the 1943 and 2001 (what I have my students purchase)
publications and the metronome markings are identical. When I studied this
piece with Harold Wright, he indicated that all the metronome markings were
from Bernstein, as he had performed it at Tanglewood with Bernstein playing
piano.
