I turned 18, and voted for a US President for my first
time, way back in 1972, resulting in Richard Nixon, who
had to Resign, rather than be Impeached and possibly get
sent to prison. Every President since then had greatly
disappointed me, and the Strangle Hold by the
Corporations on our progressively Corrupt Politicians
has led to the problems that we have today. I've learned
to hope for the best, but believe nothing that they promise,
and to expect worse corruption, more lies and broken
promises.

With that caveat in mind, my greatest, and least
controversial, hope is to see how the Presidential
In-Dog-uration turns out: when they pick the Presidential
Puppy. That's when we will all get to see what species,
gender and color the First Dog will be, and if the charming
First Daughters will be able to tolerate it, in spite of a
history of Allergy problems.

However I seriously doubt that the Premier Pooch will
be able to master the necessary embouchure to play the
clarinet. Does anyone know if any member of the New
First Family has a background in music, and if so, on
which instruments?
