I gave a copy of "Harlem Blues" by W. C. Handy for clarinet and string
quartet to the clarinet library at the Univ. of Delaware. It was the first
and only printing done ca. 1925. I doubt if another copy exists. Alan
Balter borrowed it from me and played it in Menphis. He said it was a very
good piece.

It's not virtuosic in any traditional sense, but you can bend your notes and
do jazzy things that audiences love.

For flashy and virtuosic (as well as being vacuous in my opinion), there is
the final movement of the Weber quintet for clarinet and strings.
