Bill,
I love my Greenline R13. The differences between it and the wooden
R13 it replaced are:
1. It is a little heavier, as the composite material is denser. So
watch out the thumb. I had to move the thumb rest to compensate.
2. Its sound is a little more 'focused' - it seems to play just as
loud as my old wooden one did, but it is harder to get shrill on it
(always a good thing!). I attribute this to, again, the denser material.
Other than that, it tunes and responds just like a wooden R13, and it
may as well be a wooden one, as far as the tone is concerned. I put
Straubinger pads on it, which are also unaffected by the weather. You
could, I'm sure, put any non-bladder pad on it and get the same
results as if you were using your wooden horn.

You don't get harmony when everybody sings the same note.
