Weve had the sync problem for at least 5 years now, since we use Dish
satellite TV, and the TV in the bedroom is 2 seconds behind the TV in the
living room and they are only 10 feet apart, on the same satellite receiver.

It is particularly noticeable in the winter.

Subject: [kl] TV Audio-Video Synchronization

I noticed some sync problems during the NBC coverage that I watched for most
of the day. Is there a not-too-technical explanation for these audio-video
sync problems? Is it more of a problem when telecasting from a remote
location than from a studio? Does it originate in the onsite equipment at
the remote location or does something in the way it's all processed
introduce a lag in one component or the other?

Seems I've been noticing more of these problems as more stations have gone
digital. Or am I imagining it?
