I do know Hanno Fendt, and have bought a number of pieces from him, mainly
basset horn trios. He's a good publisher/editor (Edition Bassetto). He puts
his email address on his editions so it's ok to publish it here:
hannofendt@-----. He's a very nice and knowledgeable man, and I am sure he
could give a useful opinion on the merits of the transcript.

The GP arrangement you mention is not in his Edition Bassetto list,
presumably because it was done by Accolade Musikverlag, whom I don't know.

A sextet for pairs of clarinets, horns, and bassoons published by Accolade
Musikverlag with edition number ACC 1104, is advertised as "Parthia Nr. 18"
arranged from the gran Partitta by Vaclav Havel (1778?-1826?), and edited by

Hanno Fendt.

Does anyone on klarinet have first hand experience with this sextet? I've
never seen it, which is surprising because I hunt down any and every
arrangement of the work. Presumably I could buy a copy but I don't play any
longer, so that is not what I want. I want to know if anyone has played it
and can offer their view on the quality and value of the transcript.
