Yup, it's that time of the year again ...

It's been a rough year for most everyone, I'm sure - I work for a major
automotive manufacturer in Detroit - the one that hasn't asked for a
bailout ... yet - and there's a foreclosed home across the street. I can
empathize with everyone on these real lean times - I have no idea how
long my "day job" will last, too.

But ... those bills keep coming, and the equipment still needs
servicing. I was able to cut some costs this year by changing service
providers (most of you hopefully never noticed that the IP addresses
changed!) and consolidating some servers. But offsetting that was a
reduction in the number of websites that are hosted on the equipment
here - the times are especially brutal on small companies struggling to
survive, and that website is one of the first things to go.

So, I'm back again, hat in hand. I'd like to at least maintain the
number of donors to be the same as last year - we had 260 (out of
thousands of viewers and participants on both the website and the email
lists) people contributing last year. Any amount you can spare is most
welcome.
