Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp's International Exchange Program is announcing the
following openings in the 2009 International Exchange Program:

Orchestra:
2nd Clarinet
2nd Trumpet
3rd Trumpet
2nd Trombone

The International Youth Symphony Orchestra will tour for approximately four
weeks next summer, performing in several European communities (at least 2
concerts per tour stop). The IYSO will visit 7 European Communities and
live with host families. The IYSO will also travel on a short "mini-tour"
within the Midwest prior to their European Tour and have a final series of
concerts at Hill Auditorium on the campus of the University of Michigan.
The 2009 IYSO will be under the direction of Fritz Stansell, Founder and
President of Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, and will perform extremely
challenging and exciting repertoire, to include:

1. Strauss- Till Eulenspiegel's Merry Pranks
2. Ravel- La Valse
3. Respighi- Pines of Rome
4. Orff- Carmina Burana (with Blue Lake's International Choir and
Professional European Choruses)
5. Other challenging works

Advanced High school students interested in auditioning for the 2009
International Youth Symphony Orchestra can download materials from the Blue
Lake website www.bluelake.org <http://www.bluelake.org/> or can call our
office for application materials and audition requirements (auditions are
either submitted via recording or live over the telephone and consist of
scales and choice of solo/etude/excerpt - accompanied or unaccompanied).
Qualified applicants will be selected for telephone interviews.
