Subj: [kl] Finger injury

Last July I cut off a tiny part of the tip of my L middle finger in a
gardening accident. Though it has healed well, I guess a lot of nerve
endings are still traumatized and are near the surface, so it's
difficult to play clarinet because it gets so sore when I need to press
down on it.

Has anyone had this injury and/or can anyone suggest any cream that
might help it heal faster? The alternative is to bandage that part of
the finger when I want to play, but that poses its own problems.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Audrey
