This thread about qualities of rap as a musical form is actually very interesting, but perhaps future contributions to this, or any other, thread can occur without name calling as it only detracts from the point at had... rap and it's musical artistic value.

On the point of rap, while not being a fan of rap generally and of gangster rap specifically, there is some rap out there that I quite enjoy. Because of this thread on rap the other day I pulled out my CD by the Fugies (the albums name I am forgetting at the momment) and enjoyed listening to it tremendously because it was quite lyrical at times and the rhythms and rhymes used were interesting and to me musical. One of the cuts on it was a cover of "Killing Me Softly" and is truly a beautiful piece of music.

Please disagree with me if you wish because we all have the right to like or dislike what we wish, but we also have the right to respect others for their opinions especially when we disagree.
