There are several Stamitz Concerti, one is better known than all others. I=
ndeed there are more one Stamitz: Johann father of Carl and they both wrote=
clarinet concerti. The most well known is Carl's #3 in Eb, which is prett=
y much classical, but Johann's, are late-Baroque in style (if my memory ser=
ves). The most baroque I know are the 5 Molter concerti most of which are =
for D clarinet originally, though the 3rd (I think) is often performed on B=
b. I believe there is a 6th but I've never found it. 1-5 are published. =
See also Hungaroton HCD 31370 with Laszlo Horvath performing (don't know wh=
ether it is still available). They are fun and the published versions I ha=
ve include clarinet in A as alternative for in D (etc.) but you have to lik=
e a lot of third register and beyond!
