The term rap could mean anything actually.

I just got a Neil Young CD of a concert from 1968 and the term Rap is used
for the tracks of talk between songs.

Yes, I know what Rap refers to today, as I am not a fan of rap, but someone
called it rubbish in a email here.

To a fan of Rap it is not, as he might think Mozart is rubbish, etc.
