No way. Peter is right. Rap is for librettists, like W. S. Gilbert.
It doesn't have nearly enough opportunities for creative expression in
the melodic arena.

Bach would probably be doing church music, just as he did during his
life. Just imagine him exploring the edges of choral music under
today's rules, the way Morten Lauridsen does.

Rossini could compete with Andrew Lloyd Webber for the Broadway stage.
I agree with Roger, placing Beethoven as John Williams.

Vivaldi would be pumping out pablum hits for the pop stars of today.

Would Mozart have beaten John Cage to compositions like 4'33"?
