I am always anxious to hear new theories about this and that. And if you
can supply a responsible theory with supporting evidence, that establishes
that Mozart intended to use the contrabassoon, I'm happy to listen.

But be careful. You are treading dangerous ground when you speculate.

I repeat: it doesn't matter to me if the piece is played with a
contrabassoon, so long as their is no argument that to do so was simply
following Mozart intent.
