I'm sitting here listening to the tribute to Mitchell Lurie on KUSC -- what a fantastic clarinetist, and a wonderful program. Unfortunately, I had to leave the room just before they played Rhapsody and Blue, and only heard the end . . . neither the orchestra nor the label (if any) was mentioned. Does anyone know who he was playing with (I'm thinking it was identified while I was finding least common denominators with my daughter), and whether it's available on a commercial recording?
