Danny,

If I have this correct Robert Marcus was a physician here in the San
Francisco bar area. He studied with Mitchell Lurie and considered music as a
career, but became a doctor. He never left playing though and played for
many years with the Nova Vista Symphony, soloing with them over the years.
He has soloed with Redwood Symphony another time in the past 5 years. I
taught his son a few lessons many years ago. I do not remember Bob's playing
except that it was quite good, but I have not heard him as a soloist.

Your friend,
Sue Macy

For those in the SF Bay area, there is to be a performance of the Golijov
(and other pieces too) on November. 23, 2008, with Robert Marcus
playing the clarinet part.

It is part of the Redwood Symphony season.

Does anyone know who Robert Marcus is?
