I always thought that David was a fine Klezmer player but presumed that he
played in that environment alone; i.e., no classical experience.

WRONG!! Bob Levin came over to stay at my place in preparation for a
performance of the Brahms trio in Monterey. David was the clarinetist and
it was a sensational performance.

I leapt to a conclusion that did not deserve to be leapt to.
