Thanks, Gary. That is good news. The next time I get a request, I will
send them to Van Cott Information Services. It still puzzles me that I
have received no royalties for at least twenty years. Perhaps they sell
only two copies per decade. This would not surprise me because I know that
most of my saxophone music circulates freely in the underground via 4th
generation Xerox. I have seen some of these copies, and they look as though
they were printed on bread. It is depressing. For me the worst is knowing
that some of these pirate copies are of original versions that have since
been revised. Most of my sax music was composed for Sigurd Rascher who
performed the music and used it with his students. The students then took
their copies and passed them on in turn to their students. The whole thing
is a nightmare, and I am now sorry that I composed any of it.
