Ihave quite often played bassoon (and sometimes cello) parts on Bass Clarin=
et. The transposition was a major challenge at first but I got to the stag=
e where it's pretty straightforward now. The very bottom note of cello and=
the bottom three on basson are, of course, out of range and that is the mo=
st difficult problem. I find it great fun. =20

Over the years I've found the most difficult problem is finding a decent ho=
rn player who hasn't got plenty of other work!
