You're invited to hear the Los Angeles Clarinet Choir--a group of 14
accomplished adult clarinet players performing on soprano, sopranino,
alto, basset horn, bass and contrabass clarinets-- present two concerts
in the Los Angeles area:

Saturday, Nov. 15 at 8 PM at La Crescenta Presbyterian Church, 2902
Montrose, La Crescenta 91214 ("freeway close" to Pasadena and the San
Fernando Valley) . Suggested donation of $10 general, $5 students and
seniors; ample free parking.

Saturday, Nov. 22 at 2 PM at the Santa Monica Public Library, MLK
Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Blvd., Santa Monica. Free admission, but
come early to guarantee a seat.; this series fills up quickly. The
library has an underground garage with pay parking and disabled access
by elevator.

Our program features the WORLD PREMIERE of "Magic Fountain" by Santa
Monica composer, David Avshalomov, written for our group--a new piece
inspired by the interplay of water and light-- and the local premiere of
"Global Tour" by Mike Curtis, a fun four-movement exploration of funk,
jazz, klezmer and tango.

Also on the program are Alan Scott's "Paquito" featuring co-principal
clarinetist Victoria Ramos, the beautiful "Chalumeaux Suite" by Finnish
composer Jukka Linkola, with lyrical solos by principal clarinetist Lori
Musicant Koch and E-flat clarinetist David Sucik, and Paul Harvey's
cinematic "Dances of Atlantis." A transcription of Ralph Vaughn
Williams "Rhosymedre" by Matt Johnston and Debussy's popular "En Bateau"
from Petite Suite, arranged by Russell Howland, round out the program.

We hope you will join us for these inspiring and entertaining events!
