I think this is kind of sad that a clarinet list about the enjoyment of
playing the clarinet etc. has gotten off to a tangent that has nothing to do
with the clarinet.

But, I will add my 2 cents.

I don't think the British, would look very good in Lederhosen, if that did
happen.

Now, wasn't that completely silly.

Maybe John Cleese could do something with that in Fawtly Towers remakes of
the episode with the Germans.
