Well, he already mentioned the DeVille "Universal Method", which does
have some nice exercises in it. Probably, in much the way that both the
Klose method for clarinet and the Brook method for flute cover too much
ground too quickly, the DeVille book is not so great to use as the only
teaching material (and I don't recall it having quite the torturous
sections like Klose's sixty-something little exercises on execution...)

And while there isn't a sax list that is quite so active, there are
numerous discussions on the "Sax on the Web" Forum. You might try asking
over there, if you haven't already.
