Yes, I think there's a market. You're well-known in the woodwind community.
You've done real primary source research yourself, instead of merely
cobbling together other people's work. People take interest in your research
and your opinions, whether we always agree with you or not.

Catching up with several days' worth of Klarinet messages, btw--I see you've
been in the hospital. Bummer. Hope you're feeling much better!

Re. your new book, I think that, with your background, you should be able to
find a professional publisher. I strongly encourage you to do that, NOT
self-publish again, because all of your writing that I've seen needs editing
for wordiness, organization and repetitiveness that get in the way of the
substance. There's no shame in that. Vanishingly few writers can merciless
copy-edit themselves. Therefore, my advice is: Once you finish your magnum
opus, turn that manuscript over to a publishing house with an editor who
will listen patiently to all of your complaints about his or her slashing
and burning -- and who will then wave the signed contract in your face and
tell you to go to hell. That editor is your new best friend and I'll bet
you end up with a first-rate book.
