Might look at Selmer U.S.A.

I had used a CL200 as my first wood clarinet, which did good for me
through college. That clarinet at the time was $500.00 brand new. I
think what's out there now is the CL2011... for twice the price.

Most music stores will have a rent-to-own program.... more or less a
lease for an instrument. You pay a monthly "rental" fee and then if
you want, can buy the instrument at the end of the lease for the
remainder of the price that has not been paid. I would for sure look
into that.
