Just a thought on this. Have you had any modifications made to the
register key on your A's? Most commercial basset clarinets seem to have
an articulated register key, and I'm curious how the instrument copes
without it.

It's non-trivial for other reasons too, if you're a compositional/
contemporary music enthusiast like me -- it affects the multiphonics :-P
