Subj: [kl] Warm/cold air - just voicing

The whole warm air/ cold air idea is simply a way to determine how the
oral and throat cavities are formed, that is, voicing. These interior
volumes have a considerable effect on tone production. Obviously,
there is no "warm" or "cold" once the mouthpiece is inserted. It is
only a way to find a sensation that corresponds to a particular
voicing. It is a much easier way than telling someone to contract or
relax certain interior muscles. Talk to singers sometime about
sensations and tone production, if you want to hear weird stuff!
