A reed finishing clinic with Stephen Adelstein, co-sponsored by SAN JOSE STATE UNIVERSITY is tentatively scheduled for Sept 28. We need to confirm attendees by Thurs this week. contact me at (831)425-5658. You can also contact Michael Adduci at SJSU, but it should be much easier to reach me.

In the past these clinics have been given at my store. Everyone has been delighted with them, and come away with much more knowledge about how to get the best from reeds.

Cost is $100 per person. All money goes to Professor Adelstein, we are merely sponsoring a great artist for the good of the community.

Steve is the inventor of the "American Scrape" for oboe and also the tools that Kalman Opperman makes for oboe reeds. The theory is the same for all single and double reeds, so all will learn a great deal. We even have jazz sax players that now stash hundreds of reeds ahead and work on their own reeds with great success.
