A brief=A0note for those in or near Vancouver; I'm playing clarinet and =
bass
clarinet as part of a Festival Vancouver concert this coming Friday =
August 8
at 8pm, at Christ Church Cathedral. The concert is by the Talisker =
Players
from Toronto, and features works for voice=A0with instruments. I'm in 2 =
pieces
in the second half: the very moving and witty new Red Moon Songs by =
composer
Robert Rival, and the=A0utterly beautiful Tenebrae by Osvaldo Golijov =
for
soprano, clarinet and string quartet.
Just=A0in case any of our listers=A0are nearby. The singers (soprano =
Teri Dunn
and baritone Alex Dobson) are terrific, and both pieces have great =
clarinet
parts!
