My theory on swabbing is "Early and Often." I usually swab after playing
about 15 minutes on the theory that spreading the moisture around
prevents "rivers" from forming that channel the condensation to the tone
holes.

While all my swabs are cotton, I don't pull them completely through my
mouthpiece very often, just use them to dry the inside.
