I'm suprised that there has been no commentary about the underway ICA event in Kansas City. We are here, and it seems well attended. The roster of performers is, by large, from the midwest, with no European or Asian players, except a few from Portugal, because of next years event in Porto.

The emphasis has been on clarinet ensembles, from duets to choirs. The solo recitals are few, shared and short. There have been two tribute recitals to George Silfies (St. Louis SO), and Fred Ormand (U of Michigan), both heartfelt and well performed.
