The serial number would put its date of manufacture between 1915 and =
1916.
It would be mostly of interest to collectors of vintage saxophones.
I have a 1923 "True Tone"(it isn't - the upper octave plays sharp, even =
with vintage mouthpieces.=20
(Walter, you probably have ideas on how to fix that).

Subject: [kl] Very old Buescher Tenor Sax

I have a very old Buescher Tenor Sax, made in Elkhart, IN

It has a silver finish, not brass. The serial number is 31505. Above =
the =20
serial number, it says Low Pitch, and below it there is a logo which =
says=20
"True Tone" Trademark Registered.

It is in great shape mechanically, in the original case, and I even =
have =20
the original mouthpiece. Purchased by my Dad, it's been in the family =
since=20
=20
1964. When he bought it, he was told it was made in the 1920's.

Would anyone know if this horn has any value?=20
