I have two recordings of the "Celestial Dialogues" by Ofer Ben-Amots. The
first is with Giora Feidman and the second with David Krakauer. Both offer
stunning virtuosity and a deeply felt spirituality. I treasure both of
them, and the work itself is a gem. I think it is beside the point to
sperak of a "king of klezmer," unless you might be thinking back to, say,
Dave Tarras.

In the meantime, if you haven't heard Krakauer play the Ben-Amots "Klezmer
Concerto," you are missing something really terrific.
