Subj: [kl] method books for beginners
Date: Sat, 21 Jun 2008 19:49:44 -0400

Hi everybody,

I'm looking for method books (I just began teaching a while ago) and am
wondering if there's more out there than the Rubank. I grew up using the
Rubank and love teaching out of it, but thought somebody here might have
a better/different suggestion. Also, some of my students want to learn
improv and jazz and I have no idea if there are any really good method
books out there for that. I just learned jazz from playing in jazz band!
does anybody have ideas on these? Any recommendations would be
appreciated. :)

Thanks,
Alicia
