Hi Jason,
I have the same problem. Now I carry in my pocket a Binaca or Listerine breath spray. During longer rests I spray my mouth and throat.
No more problem since I have been doing this. Sometimes it got so bad my upper lip would stick to my teeth and not come down to
seal the mouthpiece.
